Dunes (Exmouth)

The Dunes is a remote and rarely surfed beach break near Exmouth in Western Australia's North West Cape, offering warm-water waves in a spectacular wilderness setting. It handles Indian Ocean cyclone swells and southerly groundswells well, producing uncrowded peaks on a pristine stretch of coastline. The isolation is both its greatest appeal and its biggest challenge.

Access requires a 4WD track through the Cape Range National Park area; there are no facilities at the break itself. Exmouth township is the nearest service point.
